Grief Response Services exists to serve the community with empathy and compassion, recognizing that everyone's grief is unique. Our services include one-on-one support and specific-loss groups for:

MEET THE FOUNDER
Muriel Williams
Founder, Grief Response Services & Grief Response Ministry
In the first few weeks and months after a loss, people are often surrounded with care. But as time passes, they can feel alone in their grief journey. Through Grief Response Services, Muriel walks alongside individuals across the island, offering steady, personal support long after the casseroles stop arriving.
Grief Response Services continues to evolve under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Grief Response Services is made up of three parts, each meeting a different need in the community.

Grief Response Services
One-on-one and group support for individuals across Bermuda navigating loss — confidential, personal, and paced around you.
GR Ministry
Group Response Ministry
Faith-based emotional and spiritual care — phone calls, home visits, prayer, and encouragement grounded in Scripture.
Bridge of Hope
For the Community
Skilled Helper crisis management workshops that train the wider community to respond to grief and crisis with confidence and care.
YOU'RE NOT ALONE
Support for every stage of the journey.
Grief Response Services offers compassionate support for individuals, families, groups, churches, and communities — safe, confidential spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported.
We call
Regular check-in calls so no one has to carry their grief in silence.
We visit
Home visits that bring comfort and presence right where you are.
We pray
Spiritual encouragement and prayer for those who welcome it.

Spiritual care, rooted in Scripture.

The Grief Response Ministry is a branch of Adventist Community Services, created to provide emotional and spiritual support to those who are grieving. The team responds to individuals and families after a loss through phone calls, home visits, prayer, encouragement, and compassionate care — with the Bible as the foundation for healing.
Our Grief Responders are members of Seventh-day Adventist churches islandwide.
